Wendy Fairbanks

Wendy is one of the more experienced massage therapists in Vancouver. She has been in practice since 1982. She brings a passion for the health and wholeness of mind, body and spirit. As well as massage therapy training and many years of post-graduate courses in massage, she has:

  • B.A. and M.A. in psychology

  • Extensive yoga teacher training (Hatha, Kundalini, Restorative and Yin yoga)

  • Training and intensive practice of meditation

As an athlete and avid outdoor person, I have an in-depth knowledge and interest in sports and overuse injuries.

 

In my lifelong study and practice of yoga, I have developed a keen eye for posture, alignment and muscle imbalances. Whether you are in your teens or nineties, I bring an intuitive and radar keen focus to your issue or problem.

 

I use customized stretches and yoga to improve flexibility and boost the benefits of massage. With many years of training in psychology and meditation I am profoundly aware of the power of the mind to affect well-being. This gives me a unique position of being able to work with skilled hands and dialogue in a wide range of health issues and personal growth.

 

My work is guided by a deep love of Spirit and the desire to help others live fully and with joy, passion and balance.
